If you do decide to try it out, I would suggest doing your regular extraction after a shower and then applying a hot towel on the areas where you’re going to apply the silver powder. I don’t think it’ll do much if you use it without doing an extraction beforehand, but if you get the gunk out first, I think it could help reduce the number of new blackheads. The silver powder is $12 for an 1oz. and it does last a pretty long time if you apply a thin layer, which is really all you need.

Maybe you could use the acne serum for overall skin health and the drying lotion for your cystic acne? I’ve heard good things about Mario Badescu’s silver powder for blackheads. I use it as an overall face mask once a week (after extraction) and it does seem to help curb overall oil production and reduce the size and number of whiteheads I get.

i’ve been meaning to do a review on this but i didn’t get the chance to due to school and work. . . but will do it soon. . . so yea i recommend that

January 13th, 2010 at 5:06 am
Haha, I hope I’m not the only guy watching this video. I was actually thinking about buying iQQU because of the black friday sale, but now I dunno.
And I have to comment that Christina, you are very cute.
January 13th, 2010 at 5:51 am
i wanted to buy this but now im like. . . if this wont work with blackheads, i dont think so. thank you christina!
January 13th, 2010 at 6:31 am
then I don´t think I´ll buy this. . since my acne is VERY STRONG! so strong that I already have accepted them as a part of my face, otherwise I´ll go under in depression! so when someone says to me now;: “wow, I can see you´ve lots of acne!” I´d only say somewhat confident “well, yeah I know! my life would be so boring without them since I´ve been soo used to them by all these years!”
thanks for your honest review!

well if u have mild acne it might help but i realized this product just does a really good job making your skin soft. . . but that’s like it. . . . if u really want to try it out you can but i feel like there are better and cheaper products out there than this one. . . . and no it doesn’t reduce redness. . . well for me it didn’t. . . i’ve been using this drying cream from mario badescu. . . for half an ounce it’s $12. . . but i think it’s worth the try. . . i’m really loving it. . . i’m going to do a review on it soon
January 13th, 2010 at 7:14 am
no problem i’m glad i can be helpful! and i’m have for sho gonna do more reviews!
January 13th, 2010 at 7:46 am
Thank you so much for this extremely informative review! Would you recommend this to someone with somewhat mild acne but pretty good skin? Also, does it reduce redness? I’m sixteen and I usually don’t buy products, but I heard so many good reviews about this. I’m still a student, but I wouldn’t feel right about asking my parents for something so frivolous and expensive. And since there’s a black friday sale, the total+shipping would be around $33. Do you think it’s worth this amount of money?
January 13th, 2010 at 8:14 am
hi! your reviews on IQQU have been very helpful because I was planning on buying this for my sister, who has very acne-prone skin. i know how difficult it is to try to control the pimples that pop up, especially the ones deep under the skin layers. it seems like you are very knowledgeable in terms of skincare products! maybe in the future if you have time, could you make more reviews like this? i would be very grateful. thanks for taking the time to do this!
January 13th, 2010 at 9:01 am
Well I have normal to oily skin in the same conditions than yours. . . acne-prone but just some pimples here and there. . . It didn’t help me with it. . . as you said specially with the bigger ones. . . I’m really sad beacause after the price paid I was really hoping to love it and I’m not doing it so far. . .
January 13th, 2010 at 9:02 am
Oh, for blackheads, just fyi, i like the biore porestrips, but that’s just me personally.
January 13th, 2010 at 9:25 am
This really helped. I was considering buying this, but after this review I don’t think I am. I have acne prone skin and dry skin and although the way you said it like moisturized and made your skin soft caught my attention, if the product doesn’t help moderate acne skin, I don’t think it’s worth it. So thank you sooo much for this review! Very helpful. Plus, you are so pretty! Haha. Thanks again.

moderate to severe acne is generally caused by a hormonal imbalance either from stress, dairy or any other hormonal imbalance disorder. Acne can be caused by gluten allergies (which I was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease). I had been trying products for years and gave them bad reviews when i shouldn’t have because my skin disorder was caused by factors outside of common clogged pores. Everyone just needs to go through blood work and hormone testing to truly solve their issues.
