Was Acne a Blessing: Was I Lucky to Get Acne?

A lot of you may think that you hate acne and that you hate your face for giving you this “problem” to have to deal with. But have any of you ever thought that acne was really a blessing in disguise? That this so called “problem” is going to change the way you think and might actually end up improving your life in the long run? Here’s a little video I made where I talk about how acne might have helped me for the better.

Hmm… now that you mention it. I wouldn’t say that my parents are the healthiest people. And now I’m paying for it. =|

lol, I talked about the Perricone Promise a bit on my site. Basically, we learn that sugar creates inflammation on a cellular level. It’s good for you, but you have to be careful about what TYPE of sugar and how MUCH you eat. Thanks again for the comments!

I also think that we get things like this from our mothers. Not necessarily genetically even, but in the womb. Your health is determined by what they eat during your first few months alive, and that is when your taste begins to develop. I used to basically just eat sugary things, and by the time I was 17 I was a covered with them! Antibiotics seemed to make it more so.. I just felt worse and worse until I started low carbing and salad munching :-) Inspirational videos, good on ya :-)

I can completely relate to what you’re saying. 100% The exact same thing happened to me. Sweeeties… Mmm. But no. They give me spots :-)

Thank you so much for this video. Very personal and insightful!! What you said about control is so true, and if you want something bad enough you push through and just do it. I was very heavy after I gave birth to my daughter and I remember working out until I was sick. I had never been overweight before, even in the first pregnancy. Three months later I was ripped. I actually plan on doing a video on weight loss when my camera gets back from repair…still waiting. You won’t believe it!
