Any tips? I can’t afford laser surgery and I’m self conscious about some acne scars on my cheeks.

i literally just asked that question about acne scars and my responses were Bio-oil? I suffer from them myself and i used cocoa butter and vitamin E cream and none worked. Gonna try the Bio-Oil as its supposed to be effective! Good luck =)

This article recommends finding specialst acne scars makeup onlne or asking at a makeup shop to recommend one of their products, it then goes on to give the following tips:
“When you decide on the makeup for acne scars that you plan to use there are a few things to remember:
1. Do not use too much of the makeup for acne scars.
2. Use a fine-bristle makeup brush to blend the makeup for acne scars.
3. Use a dotting motion to apply the makeup for acne scars rather than big left to right strokes.
4. Set the foundation with a transparent powder that does not contain oil.
5. Always have compact powder with you in case you need a touch-up.”
The Second article gives advice on which makeups especially to look for:
“The first thing you should look for in any type of blemish cover up is one free of oils or chemicals that could cause additional breakouts.
Check for products that tout noncomedogenic or non-pore clogging properties.”

Blemish Remover.
1/4 cup of water.
1 tsp. Epson salts.
4 drops lavender essential oil.

Mix water and salts, once the salts has dissolved, add lavender. Soak a cotton cloth and compress on affected area. When cloth cools soak it again and repeat several times.

Go to a professional and get a Glycolic peel. Bio Oil helped me but once my scars faded a bit they never got any lighter. A Glycolic peel will remove the top layer of skin and will trigger the production of collagen and will help even out skin tone. Use sunscreen to keep the spots from darkening. And in the future do not pop pimples or black heads as they will scar.
