Does anyone recommend a good acne product or a home remidie to reduce my acne?
I have struggled with facial acne and what’s known as ” back acne” for 5 years. It has really lowered my self esteem and I always feel insecure when I go out or even at home. It’s so bad that when anyone talks to me I turn so red because I feel emberrased. I don’t even have long conversations because I can’t stand it when people stare at me when I talk. Can anyone please help a girl out?

try using products with a high Salicylic acid content. I found those very helpful. If that doesn’t help you might want to consider going to a dermatologist who could be able to get you a stronger acne product than ones in drugstores

I have had the same problem with acne, I have used just about every product out there including Prescriptions. My latest mistake was ProActive, I used it faithfully for 4 months, each month my acne got worse and worse. I just came across this natural remedy today, I haven’t tried it yet, but it makes sense and since the harmful burning products didn’t work, what do I have to lose!! Here is the site… http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com If it works this could be the cheapest product I’ve ever used! Good luck:)

I get tomato red spots, and this is what I do:
In the morning:
Wash face with warm soapy water
Apply Clean and Clear deep action cream wash
wash off with warm water
rinse face with freezing cold water (to close pores)
In the evening:
Wash face with warm soapy water
Apply clean and clear exfoliating daily wash
wash off with warm water
Rinse with freezing cold water.
Hope this helps!!

Ask your doctor for Duac. It starts working straightaway, and will calm any redness caused by acne spots. I used to suffer from it, and I’d be stuck with the horrbile acne for months. This product reduces it down to a matter of weeks or days, depending on how bad the acne is. It dries out the acne, and shrinks it. Hope it helps.

I’ve struggled with acne since i was 13 years old now im 22 and i’ve tried every possible home remedy. Home remedies just help cleanse the skin but i don’t think they can help clear your skin for good. The products that helped me (that i still use to-date) are L’oreal Acne Response Kit and the other one is a peel called L’oreal Acne Response Peel Kit. It has worked wonders for me and i’ve been acne-free because of these products for the past 5 years. Try them and make sure to use them according to the instructions on the pack, hopefully they’ll work for you!! All the best and don’t let acne stand in your way. Face the world proudly without being ashamed of your face, it’s inner beauty that counts!

I know this sounds really gross but its super effective; separate egg yoke from the white, put the yoke on your face, leave it set for 15-20 minutes (don’t move your face, trust me), then wash it off. It really cleans the skin and pores and it moisturizes pretty well.
Vodka is a good astringent and putting toothpaste on your face before bed also helps.

Acne Marks or Scars
Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.
The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil
The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.
You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.
Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.
Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

I had very bad acne from the age of 14 to age 22. I had large cysts, they can be insanely painful! I tried proactive and many many many many different topical cleaners, creams, and the pill. Nothing helped it just irritated the hell out of my skin and made it worse. I have never found anything to immediately help with cysts, just an ice cube right smack on it will ease the swelling and pain.
What conclusion I came to at 22 was that I can’t trust doctors to give you this or that, I had to solve this awful problem for myself. At one stage someone had mentioned to me about my diet. I was like “yeah what about it, that has nothing to do with it”. Well I went to the library to solve this acne problem for myself and came upon several books (of whom I can’t remember the darn name of) that were about how your diet effects your acne and why. Well I was flabbergasted! I started that week with a renewed sense of hope.
That week I did as the book said and cut sugar from my diet. I never realized how much sugar I actually ate and what seemingly innocent foods contained vast amounts of it. I had sugar withdrawals! Like moodiness, headaches, fatigue and generally grumpy as heck.Within 2 days I saw improvement, I was like wow, I am definitely on to something here. So after those two days I cut out salt. That was very very hard, I mean salt makes food taste better, it’s on EVERYTHING. I was on a fruit, veg, bean, nut, fish and brown rice diet. I was tired! I decided to stick it out for a week being I was already loving what I saw and was willing to commit to seeing if this had any truth.
At the end of the week I had almost a clear face.
Well there’s more to the story but yeah. Basically Healthy eating = healthy insides = healthy outsides! And to answer what your thinking, no you do not have to completely cut salt and sugar out of your diet for the rest of your life. Only for a little bit, then everything in moderation or if will flare up again.
You can ask me more questions if you like.

I have had facial acne for around 4-5 years, too, and tried everything. I started using salicyic(sp?) acid and benzol peroxide products, but they just irritate my skin and make the acne even redder and more noticeable.
I finally found a line of products from the brand Kanebo Sensai that really help. My skin feels really soft and healthy and I just started using it! Seriously, I think you should try it.

Zap your zits with tea tree oil creams.
Use honey to stop inflammation and kill infection.
Drink green tea to reduce skin sensitivity to hormonal changes.
For women who have monthly outbreaks of acne timed to their menstrual cycle, consider taking chasteberry extracts or capsules.
About a third of people who have acne also have a deficiency in zinc. Taking supplemental zinc activates the white blood cells known as neutrophils to attack acne-causing bacteria.

The worst thing about acne is the scars and the marks it leaves behind. Some of the scars tend to disappear with time but some are so grave that it can be disfiguring which may make our heart sink.
The post acne marks is the hyper pigmented or red marks and is called as the post inflammatory marks. These marks take at least 6-12 months to completely disappear. When these marks last longer than a year then it turns into a scar. A number of things could be done to reduce the redness and to quicken its pace to disappear. There are also a number of home remedies available. Following are some of them.
Rub lemon juice on the scar/marks. This will lighten the colour. Apply the juice and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Wash off your face and then apply a sun block lotion.
2) Make a paste of sandalwood powder, black gram powder and rose water. Apply it on the area and I possible leave it overnight. Wash it with cold water the next morning. If you find that it makes you skin too dry then add some milk into it.
If these tips did not work for you, do not lose heart you can still try some other tips. Good Luck!
