Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Blackheads like acne is a skin disorder. The causes of black heads is usually genetic and they appear in teenage to the natural changes of the hormonal balance,  blackheads and spots affect 100 percent of boys and about 90 percent of girls at this age. So a problem this common there are bound to be many commercial products available. The following are the basic ways by which this problem is tackled.

This is the most effective type of treatment and it has a greater success rate. This type of treatments includes the use of gels, creams and even operation with tools performed by a dermatologist. The shortcoming of these types of treatments is that if they don’t suit the user they can have dire side effects.

This type of treatment is also considered an affective tool. The medication or ointments is prescribed by a homeopath. This type of treatment is not advised if the user wants to yield instant result as the bases of these medications are very dilute and takes a longer period of time to heal. This type of medicine is packaged with little if any side effects.

The supporters of modern medication mock this type of treatment as it does not come under the bracket of medication rather they are considered as food supplement. The success rate of these products are variable to say the least but they are the preferred choice for the cautious ones as they are natural products and hence  have the advantage of no side effects over there chemical counterparts.

These types of remedies are there as long as civilization. They are based on the experience of years and years of trail and error. They have to be self prepared and not instantly available like a product in the market. Recipes of these are readily available on the internet and the books on these remedies are also available.

Blackhead Removal: The Steam Method

Monday, September 6th, 2010

If you are normal human being that lives on planet earth (and chances are that’s the case) then you likely have suffered from, or are suffering now from acne and all the horrible things that come with it. Acne affects most everybody, and even though it is extremely ubiquitous, nobody wants it. What is likely the most dreaded from of acne is blackheads. But contrary to popular belief, blackhead removal is not an impossible task. Read on to find out why.

To begin, it can really aid you if you comprehend fully the actual truth about blackheads. Since they are dark in color, most people erroneously assume they are dirt. This is a commonly held myth that isn’t true. Blacks are black due to the oxidation of the underside of the top portion. In that sense they are most easily removed by the same methods that will get rid of other acne and pimples. Here are some good ideas.

Steam. This will go a great deal to open your pores. If you have access to a steam bath, these can be fantastic. Of course, most people don’t have their own steam bath, but you can make one easy enough. Simply turn on the hot water, and fill your sink up, then place your face over the hot water so you are getting some good steam. Keep the sink full, and the water running. Be very cautious not to splash hot water on your face.

Put your face into the steam until you really start to feel some sweat. This signifies that your pores are happily open, and the skin is hot and flexible. This may take a few minutes, but the longer you can keep you face in the steam, the better. The steam will not only open up your pores, but will also serve as an incredible skin moisturizer.

Once you feel you’ve sweated enough, you can really clean out some of your skin pores. Use a gentle soap and water solution, and use a sponge that isn’t too rough. It may seem like a paradox, but you can scrub your skin too hard, and it actually may cause more pimples. After you have cleaned your face thoroughly, then apply whatever daily cream you are using to combat acne and blackheads.

Blackheads are one thing that is the most dreaded of all acne, and the good news it that there are plenty of ways to get rid of them. Once you know what they are, you are well on your way to treating them and getting the clean, smooth skin that you deserve.

Two Blackhead Removal Methods That Work Like A Charm

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

Acne is a serious problem. It’s not serious because it will kill you, or leave you permanently disabled, but it can have huge effect on your self-esteem, and your happiness. In what is commonly the most horribly dreaded form of acne, the blackhead can really make you feel lousy. This is exactly why so many people are always searching for a good blackhead removal method.

Blackheads are really not that different from regular pimples, or whiteheads. They both begin the same way, but as they grow they end up differently based on the internal dynamics of what is really going on under the surface, pimples end up looking like pimples, like blackheads end up looking even more horrible. Of course, it’s always better to try a few different methods and see what works best. That’s what this article is all about, showing you a couple of methods that may just be the ticket.

The primary technique uses both a steam bath, and a good facial scrub. First clean your face with regular soap and water. Then fill up your sink with hot water, and lean over it, so your face is a few inches from the water. Then put a big towel over the back of your head, making a little steam bath for your face. Once your face has been steamed for a few minutes, your pores should be nice and open.

Once your pores are open, you can scrub your face with a good micro pore based cleanser. These are a kind of soap that feels like there are tiny bits of sand inside, and they are really good at removing dead skin and opening your pores. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as you don’t to remove too much dead skin. Ideally, you should do this every other day or so to keep your face clean and clear.

The other method is to use an enzymatic cleanser. These are filled with enzymes, that can break down the oil that is causing your pores to be clogged. First clean your face with regular soap and water, and then clean it with an enzyme based cleanser. You can also find these in creams, so that you can apply them and leave them there to do their magic.

Of course, the best way would be to use both of these together. First clean your face, then steam your face, then use the special abrasive cleanser. Then when you are finished, apply the enzymatic moisturizer. Your face should be clean and clear of all acne in no time. And if you do this on a regular basis, you can keep acne from coming back.

Here Are A Couple Of Blackhead Removal Methods That Will Work For You

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Acne is a terrible condition to get, and has a horrible quality of showing up just when you least expect it. When I was in high school, I got a big pimple on the end of my nose the day before the senior prom. Boy was I embarrassed. Blackheads are probably one of the worst kinds to get, and can be the most difficult to remove. However, there are a few blackhead removal methods that have been proven to be effective, which I’d like to talk about in this article.

The most important to remember is that although pimples and blackheads seem to show up overnight, they actually take a while to form, so they can take a while to get rid of. Blackheads are no exception. So when you try the methods described here, be sure to give them at least a week before you can expect to see any difference.

The first method involves creating a miniature steam bath for your face. Just fill up a sink with hot water, and lower your head so your face is receiving a lot of steam. Then take a big towel and put it over the back of your head and shoulders, creating a small space filled with steam. If you can, leave the water running so the steam stays hot. Just be careful.

Once your face is nice and sweaty, you’re ready for the next part. This is just washing your face, and using whatever favorite anti blackhead cream you have. Some people use that soap that feels like it has sand in it. It removes the dead skin. Other people like to use regular enzymatic cleansers, as it can further break down the oil in your skin. Just be sure to wash your face really well after your steam bath.

Another method is to use some type of tape or wax to physically pull the blackheads off. You can do this two ways. One way is to buy special tape, or sticks. You clean your skin, and apply the tape or the stick to your blackhead, and then carefully pull it off. Be sure to clean the very well afterward. Another way to do this is to have your face waxed. It seems strange, but actually it’s quite common for people to do this.

Since there are several different degrees of severity of acne and blackheads, be sure to keep trying different things. Just keep trying, and stay consistent, and before you know it, your face will be clean and clear.

Use a blackhead extractor after you shower, this will help remove any trapped oil. It is best to use after a shower when your pores are open and receptive, when your pores are closed it is harder to remove the sebum and will result in your skin getting cut or bruised. 3. Always remove your makeup before going to bed, leaving makeup on your skin can help the build up in your pores. Buy a mild makeup remover and use it before you do your nightly skin regime. 4. Change your pillow case often, by doing this you can cut down on the amount of oil that is transferred from your face to pillow.
