Does anybody knows approximately how it cost to remove acne scars?

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

I live in Southern California, I’m thinking about getting rid of them cus they were from High school acne and pregnancy and now the scars are there but no acne. And it’s getting visible with makeup. OR can anyone suggests something else besides laser surgery?
For Mark B: I am married, no it’s not cause I want to forget the beautiful past I don’t regret I had, but to make myself happy and I’m against surgery to look different or be like anyone else, I am for surgery that involves real issues: natural causes. I have lots of youth scars, and I have stretch marks, my boobs aren’t C & up, I’m short but I am all natural, besides this problem I am very happy with my Asian woman appearance. So please don’t think I want to be better, or to get ahead, it’s a natural girl thing.
One more thing, I’m allergic to Vitamin E!
I’m not talking about stretch marks either, I broke out while pregnant, but I am keeping those baby stretch marks!

Acne laser treatment for Blemishes in new york.

What is the most effective acne treatment with NO regard to cost. Laser surgery, Microdermabrasion, anything?

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

I am not worried about the cost and I have recently set up a consultation with a cosmetic physician to see what they can offers for treatment. I am just looking to see what other information I can gather, the searches seem to be cluttered with ads for products like pro-active and other medications that I are of little interest to me. Some people say Accutane is the best, but it seems that is the may be the best medication and not the best treatment.
I may have asked in the wrong place, although I appreciate the fast responses. I am looking for scientifically proven remedy’s not so much homemade solutions. Pain and negative side effects are only a small consideration. I am more interested in surgical solutions, but I will look into the recommended products.

Acne Scar Treatment – Low Cost, Highly Effective Microdermabrasion Treatment

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

There are numerous benefits of microdermabrasion to get rid of acne. One of the most salient advantages is that there is absolutely no downtime after treatment. The procedure evolved from a technique called dermabrasion. Dermabrasion has been around for many decades and was traditionally used to treat severe scarring by polishing the uppermost surface of the skin with an abrasive, metallic attachment . This highly effective technique requires recovery time and anesthesia. Microdermabrasion is much gentler and does less invasive skin-resurfacing. It employs specially formulated solutions that are packed with the power of micro-crystals. The re-surfacing wand gently cleans your skin tissues and drives out dead skin cells, oil, and entrenched contaminants. A new skin surface is revealed, much healthier and revitalized. The treatment is completely painless, and should feel like a deep tissue massage. This “lunch break” facial accommodates even the busiest schedule. Not only is the treatment quick, it’s also versatile. You can even perform a microdermabrasion session on yourself from the comfort of your home. Many home systems can even be incorporated into your morning routine. Ask your local salon about treatment deals. Perhaps the best of all microdermabrasion benefits is that there are no pain-causing chemicals, scalpels, or lasers involved. Microdermabrasion does not utilize any of these tools or chemicals, therefore effectively erasing all risks, recovery time, and commitment for comparable results. Microdermabrasion costs only a fraction of the thousands of dollars that most cosmetic surgeries and other invasive skin enhancing treatments cost. Microdermabrasion is just a fraction of the cost. Home kits can be bought for as low as $20. Professional spa clinicians and medical professionals offer microdermabrasions treatments for as low a $100. Microdermabrasion fuses beauty and health into a single treatment, providing a safe alternative to invasive, skin-resurfacing techniques. So with peace of mind, indulge your skin with one of the most innovative and effective skincare techniques to come along in decades. As always, consult your doctor or skin care specialist on any treatment program. Although Microdermabasion has many advantages, it is suitable for only certain types of skin and severity of acne scarring. Microdermabrasion may not show any results at all for some, especially those with medium and severe scarring. What Is The Exact Cost For Acne Scar Treatment?

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Chronic acne can leave scarring; millions of individuals are trying to cure acne on daily basis; treatments are very different, from herbs lotions and creams, diets, to surgical procedures; costs for acne scar treatment are very different too. Because every patient is treated individually, it is difficult to know the cost for acne scar treatment before an examination. The patient must consult a dermatologist; it is possible to have multiple treatments per scar; sophisticated combination of treatments may be necessary. Usually, a laser acne scar treatment has a cost for anesthesia; there are also facility fees and surgeon fees.
The treatments’ results are hard to predict; many procedures don’t work, many treatments give spectacular results, clear and brilliant skin. Cost for acne scar treatment can be really affordable if the procedure is non surgical. The individuals must know also that not all patients react in the same manner at a treatment; the results can be very different for the same procedure, cream or lotion. There is no cure-all treatment for acne scar; there are only procedures to realize a better appearance of the skin. Deep acne scar are also called “ice picks” and require almost in every patient several procedures, and different types of treatments for visible results. Some individuals can believe that light acne scar can be easily removed, but the treatment can take more than one chemical peel and many weeks of treatment at home.
Scar removal or scar reduction can be done by non surgical or non surgical treatments; this is the reason why the costs are different, and the risks are also different. Laser acne scar treatment seems to be the most effective option; the costs are higher than the non surgical scar removal lotions or creams.
If the dermatologist decides to recommend a chemical peel, then anesthesia and facility fees will be combined. A part of the cost can be covered if the treatment is reported as medical necessity. Dermatologists know how to fill the insurance, because cosmetic procedures are not considered medical necessity by insurance. Some surgeons accept monthly payments for complicated procedures, making easier to pay the cost for acne scar treatment.
Here are the estimated costs for acne scar treatment, depending on the treatment type:
- Punch techniques (ice pick scars) costs $50 per punch
- Chemical peel (mild acne scarring) costs $750 per treatment (must be repeated)
- Dermabrasion shallow imperfections and the approximate cost is $1500 per treatment; some patients need more treatments.
- Laser resurfacing shallow imperfections and cost $3000 per treatment; if necessary, the treatment must be repeated
- Subcision (any kind of scar) – the cost depends on the number of repeated treatments and depends on the surgeon appreciation too.
- Augmentation (deep scars) – the cost is $300 – $700 per cc (cubic centimeter) for collagen (the area depends of the patient’s face topology). The price is established by the surgeon; the results are not long time lasting, so the procedure must be repeated.
