The leaflet provided with the tablets says not to drink alcohol with them.

I’ve seen conflicting advice online though, mainly relating to antibiotics not working as well with alcohol in your system but i’m using them for Acne on a mild dose for a prolonged period so one days ineffectiveness is not necessarily a real problem.

Is this about right? Can I drink alcohol when i’m taking these antibiotics?

Im travelling to Kenya soon for aid work, and im currently on acne medication, i was told by somebody that doxycycline could be used as anti malarial medication as well as for acne prevention, is this true?

IM should begin my morning treatment for acne with doxycycline 100 mg daily and topical clindamycin. Im kind of fear of side effects. “It ‘clear that the treatment only after a few months and then deal with acne for life, as with Accutane? I have had moderate to severe acne for 16 years. Im kind of desperate, but I will not do anything life-threatening.
