I’ve just bought an over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide acne cream, but I heard it can cause premature aging. How much truth is there to this? Should I look for cleansers with safer ingredients, and if so, which ingredients are most effective?
i just want to know what would get rid of my breakouts better since all i get is blackheads and whiteheads.

Good for spot treatment on face, and the like, 2 spots on shoulders
Looking for something I can pick up at a drugstore

I’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide and I don’t want to get anything prescription. I have really bad acne and suffered from it for a while. My acne is genetic but I want my skin clear. Military Ball is coming up pretty soon and I want to look good… HELP PLEASE!
I went to the docters for treatment for acne on my face. he prescribed Pan Oxyl Benzoyl Peroxide, but my acne seems to be getting worse before better. Does any one know how long this “better before worse” phase will/should last for?
I’ve been using it everyday, twice a day. In the beginning, I noticed a change in my acne getting better, but after some time of using it so much, my face has gotten really dry and leather-like. I also have been using apple cider vinegar before I go to bed each night. How often am I able to use these cleansers without it drying my face up? I really want my acne gone, along with a smooth soft face. =( please help.
