The Easy Blackhead Removal Trick You Can Use Today

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Acne is something that affects nearly everybody on the face of planet Earth. There are many causes of acne, from stress to puberty to certain dairy products. What is likely the worse kind of acne is a blackhead. If you are in search of a blackhead removal method, you’ve come to the right place. I’ll discuss a couple of methods that you can try using only your fingers and a hot rag.

Blackheads are slightly different from you average, everyday pimple. Pimples contain a white puss that is developed due to the pressure inside a clogged pore. Many times all it takes is a good squeeze to release the pressure. Of course this only works with pimples that are commonly referred to as whiteheads, and aren’t recommended for other kinds.

With blackheads, you can still get rid of them by squeezing, but you’ll need to try a slightly different method. Before you remove the blackhead, clean your skin first to make sure all the bacteria and germs are gone. You are going to be opening your pore, so you don’t want in bugs getting in there. It’s best to use an anti-bacterial soap or an exfoliate, as this will help prep your skin.

When your skin has been cleaned sufficiently, get yourself a small towel and soak it in hot water. Then with the towel as hot as you can stand it, hold it against the area with the blackhead for about five to ten minutes. This will loosen the blackhead up and make it easier to get out of there. You might want to consider using a couple of towels, or throwing the one you are using in the microwave for a couple minutes, as it can cool down pretty quickly.

Now that your skin is clean and softened up, it’s time to get that ugly blackhead out of there. You want to squeeze around and under the blackhead, so you’ll actually be pushing it out from the bottom. Just by squeezing from the sides won’t help, as it will only increase the pressure on the inside. If you push from underneath, you will greatly increase the pressure pushing the blackhead out from the inside. But be careful not to push too hard, as this can cause damage to the skin, and may make things worse.

Of course, it’s a good idea to always exfoliate, and use anti-bacterial soap on your skin to prevent future blackheads from forming. There are also some reports of some ingredients in bar soap containing elements that can increase the chance of your pores closing, so you may want to be careful.

Blackhead Removal Tips You Can Use Today

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

Going through puberty is a tough time in your life. All kinds of chemicals are being produced in your body, making you feel all kinds of weird feelings, sometimes even having huge mood swings. Acne is another unwelcome part of this time in your life. What’s worse, you may develop blackheads, which can make you afraid to leave your house. But rest assured, there are a few effective blackhead removal methods that you can use.

The first thing to realize is that although they look like they are dirt, or are because your pores are dirty, that’s not the real reason. The reason is just due to the construction of the “comedone” which is the thing that makes the pimple. Part of it is open, and air gets in an oxidizes part of it, turning it black. They are no more dirty, or clean, than regular acne. Don’t automatically assume you are some hideous creature because you have a couple blackheads.

There really is some good and easy ways to get rid of blackheads. You can use a blackhead removal device, or you can fashion your own out of household objects. The tools you use to get rid of blackheads are small sticks with holes in one end. Then you can slowly twist it until it grabs the blackhead, and then slowly pull it out. If you are in a pinch, and don’t have one of these tools handy, you can use the inside part of a ballpoint pen. They work just as well.

Another common method to remove blackheads is use tape, or wax. The tape will stick on to the blackhead, and then when you pull the tape off, the blackhead comes with it. Wax works the same way, you apply the was, wait for it to dry, and then pull it off. You can either do this yourself, or have it done professionally. Either way works just as well.

One way to enhance both of these methods is to take a good long steam bath before doing them. When you do this, the pores on your face will open up and make it much simpler to pull out the blackhead. Again, if you are in a pinch, you can hold your face over a sink filled with hot water for a couple minutes. Then either use the ballpoint pen method, or the tape method.

Of course, once you’ve removed the blackhead, you run the risk of infection as you now have an open spot on your skin that germs can get inside of. So it’s important to keep the area clean and germ free. If you have some anti-bacterial soap, then it would be a good idea to wash with this on a regular basis.
