Am i suppose to use a cotton swab and dip it in the apple vinegar and apply it to the acne? or am i suppose to diluted it 50% down with water first?

I have been using the obagi system for about 3 months and i rarely get acne now, only problem is the scars it left behind. The Obagi system is in 3 steps; 1 cleanser which contain salicylic acid, 2 toner which also has salicylic acid, and 3 the “BPO” Benzoyl peroxide. I wanted to try using retin a for the scars but i am afraid to mix salicylic acid with it….
Any help? or maybe remedies??
