Before you choose a facial masks, facial treatment, or skin care products, it’s necessary to know which type of skin you have. Then you can carefully choose the best solutions for your skin type. Your type of skin comes from genetics, but how you take care of it determines it’s health and beauty later in life. The first step to keeping your skin looking great is finding out which type you have. There are five basic skin types: normal, oily, dry, combination and sensitive. Each of these types require specific products and treatments to provide the best care for your skin. You can perform a simple skin type test to determine your type of skin. When you wake up in the morning, wipe your face with a clean facial tissue. The result will tell you which type you have. If you have normal skin, the tissue will not have any oil on it, but your skin should still feel moisturized. This type of skin has the least amount of problems. It’s smooth, elastic, clean and supple. If you have oily skin, the tissue will have facial oil on it corresponding to where your forehead, nose and cheeks touched it. Even though oily skin does not age as fast as other types, it comes with a lot of problems. It’s usually shiny and results in enlarged pores, blackheads and acne.
